Cecelia Allison Hinds

Cecelia Allison Hinds, 92, of Wynnewood and formerly of Catasauqua, died June 1, 2020, due to complications of a stroke at Cathedral Village, Andorra, Philadelphia.

She was a graduate of Ellis College High School, Newtown Square, and earned an English degree from Gettysburg College.

She was a public relations professional in Philadelphia and New York City, including PepsiCo and Scott Paper Company. She was the on-air host Miss Janet of the television show “Romper Room” on WCAU-TV and host of the “Westchester Woman” radio interview show on WFAS in New York.

She was a member of American Women in Radio and Television and was on its board of directors and on the International Foodservice Editorial Council.

She is survived by two daughters, Laurene (Gunther) and Rebecca (Denison); six grandchildren, Russell, Paul, Margaret, David, Allison and Jack; and three great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Thomas and Nora Cecelia.

She was predeceased by a sister, Vivian; and a brother, Russell Moyer.

Services will be private.

Arrangements were made by Brubaker Funeral Home Inc., Catasauqua.
