Robert M. Mendelson, 94, of Lower Macungie Township, died June 1, 2020, at Country Meadows of Allentown. He was the husband of Betty (Rosenthal) Mendelson for the past 63 years. Born in Newark, N.J., he was the son of the late Israel and Martha (Bartenow) Mendelson.

He was a chemical engineer for 35 years last working for RCA.

He received both his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in chemical engineering from Purdue University.

He was a United States Navy veteran serving during World War II.

He was a member of Temple Beth El, Allentown.

He is survived by his loving wife; daughters, Mona and her husband, Russell Kaufman and Jan and her husband, Glenn Ehrich; grandchildren, Naomi and her husband, Daniel Saks, Noah Ehrich, Daniel Kaufman and his wife, Samantha and Mia Kaufman; a great-granddaughter, Michaela Saks.
