Frank Schad, 87, of Northampton, died May 28, 2020, at his residence.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Peter N. and Anna K. (Seifert) Schad.
He was in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
He was a designer and engineer for the U.S. government in the munitions field at both the Frankford Arsenal and the Picatinny Arsenal for 35 years before he retired in 1988.
He is survived by a son, Frank R. and his wife Lisa of McHenry, Md.; two daughters, Mary Ellen S. and her husband William Ford III of Northampton and Kathleen Ann Marie Schad of Feasterville; a brother, Adam Schad and his wife Helene of Bensalem; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a brother, Peter; and a sister, Katherine Matz.
Services will be private.
