Francis V. Werner, 87, of Whitehall, died May 24, 2020. He was the husband of Shirley L. (Spangler) Werner for 68 years.

Born and raised in York, he was a son of the late Francis J. and Anna E. Werner.

He was a supervisor for Seaboard Financial Services and a vice president with Cement National Bank, Northeastern National Bank and PNC Bank in Northampton. After he retired, he was an optician at Walnutport Family Eye Care, where he worked with his son.

He was a member and a board member of both the Chamber of Commerce and the Credit Bureau Associates of the Lehigh Valley and was a member of many other community organizations.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children, Jeanie Shott, Sheila with William Dayton, Susan with Donald Sweeney, F. Joseph with Annette Werner and Lisa with Alan Jones; 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, Richard Werner of York.

Services will be at the convenience of the family.
