Carl A. Kilhefner

Carl A. Kilhefner, 82, formerly of Whitehall, died May 14, 2020, at home in Fletcher, Okla. He was the husband of the late June E. (Remaly) Kilhefner for 46 years.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Elias A. and Helen M. (Dammrich) Kilhefner.

He was a 1958 graduate of Allentown High School.

He was in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1958 to 1962.

He retired from the county of Lehigh in 2000.

He was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church, Whitehall, where he was an Eucharistic minister and was active in Cursillo.

He played the drums and marched with various drum corps throughout his life, including the Reading Buccaneers Alumni, of which he was a charter member, and the Hawthorne Cabeleros Alumni.

He was a life member of the Marine Corps League and a founding member of the Bethlehem detachment. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association Branch 115, American Legion Post 739, Hokendauqua, and the Allentown Chapter of the Honorary First Defenders.

He is survived by a daughter, Christina L. and her husband James A. Peterson of Fletcher, Okla.; a grandson, Daniel A. Peterson of Portsmouth, Va.; a sister-in-law, Suzanne J. and her husband James A. Smith; cousins; nieces; great-nephews; and friends.

Services will be held at a later date.

Arrangements were made by Becker-Rabon Funeral Home, Lawton, Okla.
