Brewery celebrates two years in Catty
Fred and Annette Pompa proudly opened the Taylor House Brewing Company taproom, 76 Lehigh St., June 1, 2018.
The owners were disappointed they were not able to celebrate their second anniversary in style with their biggest supporters. However, the community had another idea.
Community members, including members of Catasauqua police and fire departments, treated the owners to a drive-by parade June 1 to show their support and appreciation for the couple and the microbrewery. The vehicles honked and passengers waved to the owners in celebration of two successful years of business.
“It was truly special to see the faces of friends and family and those who support our efforts,” the owners said in a recent Facebook post. “We love the community and how it rallies around local business.”
According to the Facebook post, they are hoping to release the new anniversary brew in two weeks.
Taylor House Brewing Company celebrated its first anniversary in 2019 with a weekend-long celebration featuring specials, music, food and more.
The microbrewery is a favorite of craft beer lovers, with its creation of new brews from master brewer Mike Leesa. The brewery takes part in numerous community events and has become a staple in Catasauqua.
There is currently outdoor seating available with occasional visits from local food trucks. Check the microbrewery’s Facebook page, facebook.com/TaylorHouseBrewing, or the website, taylorhousebrewing.com, for hours, and the Brew Store for available takeout beers.
