Rudolph H. Deutsch, pharmacist

Rudolph “Rudy” H. Deutsch, 91, died June 3, 2020, at Kirkland Village from the coronavirus. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Ernest and Amelia (Weber) Deutsch. He was the husband of Evaline Neubauer for 67 years.

He was a graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School. He graduated from Duquesne University School of Pharmacy, Pittsburgh.

He was in the U.S. Army in Headquarters Military Government in Korea and Japan.

He was in sales for the Upjohn Company for 37 years and was a pharmacist for Koehler’s Pharmacy, Nazareth.

He was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Church, Palmer Township, where he was a lector and altar server. He started the church’s blood donation program for Miller-Keystone Blood Center.

He was a member of Safety First Volunteer Fire Company, West Easton.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children, Michael (Carol) of Westminster, Md.; James (Patti) of Bethlehem; Richard (Michelle) of Easton; Susan Leeson (William) of Bethlehem; and Steven (Susan) of Yardley; a daughter-in-law, Becky of Gibsonia; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren,

He was predeceased by a son, Thomas; and two brothers, Ernie and Frank.

Services will be private due to covid related restrictions.
