Bath: Church collecting for area food bank

During the month of June, Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church, 3175 Valley View Drive, will be helping Bath Area Food Bank by collecting jelly and cold cereal.

There is also an ongoing need for ramen noodles.

The food bank is no longer accepting Jell-O or pudding.

Any donations for the food bank can be dropped off in the vestibule at the downstairs parlor.

Look for the date of Emmanuel’s fall blood drive to be announced, since the spring drive has to be canceled.

If you would still like to donate, you can go directly to the Miller-Keystone Blood Center. Use the sponsor code 0656 and the credit will go to Emmanuel’s.

There are extended hours at many donation sites.

Bath Farmers Market kicked off its new season May 15.

The market looked a little different this year, with hand-washing stations, masks and signs asking shoppers to remain 6 feet apart.

Hundreds of shoppers have visited, taking advantage of the warm weather and a chance to support local businesses.

The market, located at Keystone Park, is open 3-6:30 p.m. every Friday.

Stop by for healthy smoothies, tasty grilled items, craft beer, baked goods, flowers, handmade face masks and more!
