School District News
Northwestern Lehigh High School Assistant Principal Don Allen recently provided the following information for students:
1. From June 3-5, students in grades nine through 11 will be permitted into the high school to clean out lockers, pick up any personal items, and return books, calculators and any other school property. However, laptops and chargers will not be collected from students in grades nine through 11 this year. The building will be open 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.
After cleaning out your locker, promptly report to the high school gym to return textbooks, calculators and library books (not laptops) to the area designated for each of your teachers.
Once these items are returned to the gym, exit the building as quickly as possible through the Arts and Athletic doors near the side parking lot.
Do not roam the building for any reason in order to help maintain sanitary conditions in as many areas as possible.
2. Arrive earlier in the day as it will likely result in less time spent waiting to enter the building. Students getting a ride to the school should be dropped off and picked up in the student parking lot along Northwest Road.
Students are to walk to and line up at the front entrance to the building, maintaining a 6-foot separation from the person to their front.
3. Only 10 students will be allowed in the building at any given time.
4. Northwestern Lehigh School District police officers will manage social distancing in line and upon entrance into the building.
5. All students must wear a mask.
6. Use provided hand sanitizer inside the lobby before going to your locker and again before exiting the building.
7. Maintain 6 feet of distance between you and others at all times.
6. Do not come to the high school if you are showing flu-like symptoms or have been in contact with someone with those symptoms.
Additionally, May 26 was the last day that attendance was recorded and the last day of new instruction.
Outstanding assignments may be turned in through June 2.
