William C. Horn, 89, of Bethlehem, died May 6, 2020. He was the husband of Jane Horn of Bethlehem.
Born in Ferndale, Mich., he was a son of the late Casper and Marie (Beckmann) Horn of Williamsport.
He was recruited by Lehigh University where he attended on an ROTC scholarship. He played offensive guard on the football team and was a member of the 1950 undefeated team. He graduated with a civil engineering degree.
He was a first lieutenant in the Army Corps of Engineers, stationed in the DMV zone just north of Seoul in the Korean War. He later was in the Army Reserves.
He was a field engineer with Bethlehem Steel Corporation.
He was a member of and an usher for First Presbyterian Church of Bethlehem and, more recently, a member at Grace Church, Bethlehem.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Mark of State College, Linda of Allentown and Debbie Devine of Pittsburgh; three nephews; five nieces, 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Carl Horn of Saginaw, Mich., and Keith Horn of Kane.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
