Michael A. Jacobson Jr., 42, of Bethlehem, died May 5, 2020, after a battle with lymphoma of the nervous system. He was the husband of Michele Jacobson.

Born in Roanoke, Va., he was a son of Marie and Michael Jacobson Sr.

He was a 1996 graduate of Liberty High School, where he played trumpet in the Grenadier Band. He was currently studying computer science at DeSales University.

He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Catasauqua, where he interpreted Mass on Sunday mornings, sang in the choir and helped in the kitchen, cooking for fundraisers.

He was a member of the Allentown Symphony Choir. He was fluent in German, American Sign Language and Klingon.

He served in the soup kitchen at Trinity Episcopal Church for more than 20 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Xavier and Alexander; two brothers, Matt and Brad; a sister-in-law, Crystal; nephews and niece, Derrick, Madeline and Connor, his godson.

Services are private. There will be a celebration of life at a future date.
