Marge (Stummer) Tarola, 92, of Hellertown and formerly of Bethlehem, died May 16, 2020, while at Saucon Valley Manor. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late John and Rose (Kalmar) Stummer. She was the wife of the late Daniel R. Tarola for 57 years.
She was a postulant at St. Joseph Hill Academy, Staten Island, N.Y., where she attended Fordham University.
She was an 80 year member of St. John Capistrano Church where she was an Eucharistic Minister and a noodle maker. Later, she became a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and of the fellowship and ladies groups.
She worked in the Bethlehem Steel offices.
l offices. She sewed for R.K. Laros Silk Company and for Warners.
She was a member of the Lower Saucon Township Groovy Movers and the coloring group.
She is survived by a daughter, Marjorie Mainhart of Hellertown; a son, Daniel and his wife Faina of Acton, Mass.; two grandchildren, Andrew Mainhart of Catasauqua and Sara Brown and her husband Christopher of Fogelsville; and seven great-grandchildren, Riley and Finn Brown of Fogelsville and Anton, Sam, Rafi, Oliver and Michelle Kutsman of Boston.
She was predeceased by four sisters, Rose Hoffner, Elizabeth Huffsmith, Catherine Molnar and Veronica Opitz; and a son-in law-Thomas (Tim) Mainhart.
