Lester F. Koch, 78, of Catasauqua, died at home May 3, 2020. He was the husband of Debra A. (Matthias) Koch for 15 years.

Born in Pottsville, he was a son of the late Carl and Claire (Mills) Koch.

He was a 1959 graduate of Tamaqua High School.

He was a U.S. Army veteran.

He was a truck driver for Penske Trucking, Allentown, until he retired.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a stepson, Joshua Shive, at home; two stepdaughters, Nicole Fritz of Fayetteville, N.C., and Andrea Shive of Allentown; and five grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a son, Shawn Koch; and a sister, Garnet Shirey.

Private services will be held at a later date.
