Anna Skrapits, 86, of Northampton, died May 1, 2020, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem. She was the wife of the late John Skrapits for 63 years.
Born in Szentpeterfa (Petrovo Selo), Hungary, she was a daughter of the late Istvan and Johanna (Kurcz) Skrapits.
She and her husband left Hungary in 1956 and, in February 1957, arrived at Camp Kilmer, Piscataway, N.J. through Operation Safe Haven.
She was a member of Queenship of Mary Church, Northampton.
She was a member of St. Peter and Paul Society, Northampton.
She is survived by three children, John, Andrew and his wife Kathleen (Kachmar) and Juliann; four grandchildren, Kristen, Brian, Bethany and Chloe; and a brother, Stephen and his wife Heidi.
She was predeceased by four siblings, George, John, Cecilia and Maria.
Services are private. A memorial Mass will be announced at a later date.
