Student work for presentation

ALBRIGHT

Research by Albright College student Tyler Stauffer of Kutztown, was vetted and accepted for presentation at the American Chemical Society’s annual national meeting and expo.

The society’s thousands of cutting-edge researchers, scholars and scientists, however, will not be gathering for this year’s meeting due to the coronavirus,

Stauffer’s work into “Synthesis of ferrocene-linked binucleating ligands for holding two dissimilar metal ions” with Nicholas A. Piro, Ph.D., assistant professor of chemistry and biochemistry and student Zoe Gehman, is more than notable.

This poster was also selected for presentation in Sci-Mix - a special session designed to showcase the Top 10 percent of presentations in each division.

Albright College researchers achieved this distinction in the Division of Chemical Information, the Division of Inorganic Chemistry, and the Division of Chemical Education.

Stauffer is majoring in biochemistry.
