Lester F. Koch, 78, of Catasauqua, died May 3, 2020, at home.

He and his wife, Debra A. (Matthias) Koch, celebrated 15 years of marriage in April.

Born in Pottsville, he was a son of the late Carl and Claire (Mills) Koch.

He was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Army.

A 1959 graduate of Tamaqua High School, he was later a truck driver for Penske Trucking, Allentown, until retirement.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his stepson, Joshua Shive, at home; stepdaughters Nicole Fritz, of Fayetteville, N.C., and Andrea Shive of Allentown, and five grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his son, Shawn Koch, and a sister, Garnet Shirey.

Private services will be held at a later date.
