Samuel R. Rocco, 72, of Northampton and formerly of Garwood, N.J., died April 21, 2020. He was the husband of the late Patricia (Hurajt) Rocco for 45 years.

Born in Rahway, N.J., he was a son of the late Modestino and Mary (Woodruff) Rocco.

He was in the U.S. Army.

He was a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service for more than 40 years.

He was a parishioner at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Northampton, and St. Joseph the Carpenter and St. Helen’s churches, both in New Jersey.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Knights of Columbus chapters and was a lifelong member of the American Legion.

He is survived by two sons, Anthony M. of Northampton and Samuel R. Jr. and his wife Jen of Edison, N.J.; two sisters, Ida and Lisa; and 11 grandchildren.

He was predeceased by son, David J. Rocco.

There will be a memorial Mass on a future date.
