Elizabeth E. Schmehl, 82, of Allentown, died April 18, 2020, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

Born in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. she was the daughter of the late George Holzwarth and Jessie (Marsh) Holzworth.

A graduate of Mt. Penn High School, Reading, she was a member of the honor society.

She was an executive secretary at Rodale Inc. and Base Engineering.

She enjoyed rock hunting, making weed bouquets and gardening.

Her survivors include children James R. Schmehl Jr. of Allentown, Beth A. Haas (Donald) of Orefield, and Kurt E. Schmehl of Allentown; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son, Michael P., and a brother, George.

Her services will be private.
