Cozette “Cozie” Scott McGuire, 97, died April 9, 2020. She was the wife of the late James McGuire.

She was born in Portland, Ore.

She was a graduate of the former St. Helen’s Academy, now Oregon Episcopal School.

She was a bucker to support the production of wartime fighter planes during World War II. She then worked worldwide for the U.S. State Department.

She was a member of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, Whitehall.

She was a therapy dog owner and competed in dog agility trials up to age 90.

She is survived by three daughters, Margaret (Mardi) and her husband Clyde Closson, Kathleen and her husband Tom Igo and Val and her husband Dale Smith; six grandchildren, Shannon Jones and her husband Will, Ashley Geissenhainer and fiance Kris, Brian Igo, Tim Igo and his wife Madeline, Kelsey Igo and fiance Patrick and John Igo; a great-granddaughter, Lily Jones; nieces; and nephews.

There will be a private service at a later date.
