Liberty’s boys lacrosse was hoping for positive steps forward in 2020. Nobody knows if the Hurricanes will be able to improve upon last year’s 3-14 campaign, but with new head coach Jim Martell in charge, getting on the field this year is the real hurdle for the season.
“Out look on the team is to stay accountable and work hard,” said Martell. “Each player has been work diligently to make sure we bring our best every practice and every game. The leadership and accountability of this team has grown leaps and bounds since last year. The commitment to the sport an each other is what makes this family strive to do better each day.”
Back for the Hurricanes include Brady Wied (Sr. A), Tommy Bothwell (Jr. M), Keegan Corr (Jr. M), Carson Vella (Jr. M), Brennan McKeown (So. D) and Jake Perreault (So. D).
Newcomers are Jesse Kolb, Jake Ballerini and Charlie Minervini.
“Our goals are to reach the EPC playoffs,” said Martell, “but we’re striving for accountability and determination.”
