John Stephen Phillip, 84, of Bethlehem, died, March 29, 2020, in Country Meadows, Bethlehem. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Frank and Mary (Sulics) Phillip. He was the husband of the late Audrey (Jacoby) Phillip for 57 years.
He was a 1963 graduate of Penn State, where he earned a degree in horticulture.
He worked for Rodale organic gardens for 10 years. He was an electrician at Bethlehem Steel Corp. for over 42 years until he retired.
He was a member of the former St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, Bethlehem.
He is survived by two daughters, Karen L. Cech and Debra J. Brueningsen and her husband David; two sons, John O. Phillip and his wife Kelly and Christopher Phillip and his wife Nancy; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret and Josephine; and a brother, Victor.
Funeral services will be private.
