John “Jive” Skrapits, 90, of Northampton, died March 26, 2020, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Anna Skrapits for 63 years.

Born in Szentpeterfa, Hungary, he was the son of the late Vince and Johanna (Paukovits) Skrapits.

He founded Northampton Concrete Form and Skrapits Concrete Company with his brothers-in-law.

He was a member of Queenship of Mary Church and St. Peter and Paul Society, both in Northampton.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, John M. and Andrew and his wife Kathleen; a daughter, Juliann; four grandchildren, Kristen, Brian, Bethany and Chloe; and two sisters, Maria Szoldatits of Canada and Rosa Kulcsar of Hungary.

He was predeceased by a brother, Rudi; and two sisters, Hana and Paula.

Burial services will be private. A memorial Mass will be announced at a later date.
