Pauline L. Snyder, 62, of Emmaus, died March 6, 2020, at home. She was the wife of Don Snyder for 38 years.
Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of Nelson and Claire (Ross) Heiney.
She was a 1975 graduate of Whitehall High School. She earned an Instructional I Elementary degree in socially and emotionally maladjusted students from Millersville University; a master’s degree in special education from Lehigh University; and a certificate for post graduate work in curriculum, instruction and assessment.
She was a teacher and intervention specialist for Lancaster-Lebanon Intermediate Unit 13 and then in the Allentown School District for 32 years until she retired in 2017. She developed the Book Blast program and was coordinator of the children’s food bank at Sheridan Elementary School.
She was a member of Bethany Church and participated in Bible study at Faith Church.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by a daughter, Ashleah Tomasino; a son, Austin Snyder and his wife Latasha; three grandchildren, Giovanni, Onello and Willow; a sister, Charlotte Kramlich; a twin brother, Paul L. Heiney and his wife Jennifer; nieces; nephews; and extended family.
There will be a memorial service at a later date.
