An open issue at East Allen Township is the status of the Rock Lehigh Valley curative amendment hearings. The next session was scheduled for March 30.

According to township Manager Brent Green, the meeting is postponed until April 27.

“We will evaluate where we are during April to determine if we need to postpone the meeting again,” Green said.

The best guess from Green is there are still at least three more meetings before the supervisors will see a resolution. The township also expects an appeal by Rock Lehigh Valley if the final outcome is not what the company expects.

East Allen has canceled all meetings and activities in the township until the end of March. The board of supervisors will reevaluate the situation based on the latest information from health authorities.

The situation is dynamic, and Facebook seems to be the preferred method for getting information to residents quickly.
