Two Springhouse Middle School students recently brought home honors in the Bright Ideas Energy Efficiency Poster Contest run by PPL Electric Utilities and the National Energy Foundation.
Caitlin Cashatt won the grand prize in the grade 6-8 division
She received a $100 Amazon gift card and a pizza or ice cream party valued at $100.
Her teacher, Josh Abrams, received a $100 classroom grant.
Rishita Pulgam won honorable mention in the same category.
She received a $25 Amazon gift card and a $100 pizza or ice cream party for her class.
“We’re proud of all our winners for embracing energy efficiency and for the creativity they displayed,” said Mary Ann Kelly-Merenda, residential energy efficiency program manager for PPL. “We know they’ll be great ambassadors for the wise use of energy.”
