Marilyn (Mally) E. Kern, 90, of Egypt, died Feb. 20, 2020, at Fellowship Community. She was the wife of the late Clarence F. Kern for 55 years.
Born in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late Harry J. and Wilma (Kotsch) Weaver.
She was a 1947 graduate of Whitehall High School.
She worked for Western Electric, was the Egypt postmistress and was a Realtor and a broker. She and her husband co-owned Kern’s Auction Gallery for more than 50 years. She assisted her parents in managing the former City View Motel, Egypt.
She was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Whitehall, where she was a longtime member of the choir and of the worship and music committees.
She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and of the Jessie K. Berlin Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by two sons, Kevin M. and his wife Deborah of Arlington, Va., and Kyle R.T. and his wife Michele of Whitehall; three grandchildren, April Kern, Heather Kimmitt and Kristine George; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son, Keith J.; an infant daughter, Holly; four grandsons; and a sister, Nancy Tacker.
There will be a calling time 9:30-11 a.m., followed by services 11 a.m., March 7 at the church, 4331 Main St., Whitehall, 18052.
Contributions may be made to the church memorial fund; or to the Whitehall Music Parents Association, 3800 Mechanicsville Road, Whitehall, 18052.
