The first Monday of every month, Salem United Church of Christ, 615 Third St., Catasauqua, holds a lunch with a variety of homemade goodies.

Gail Pileggi gets her crew together about an hour before it starts.

“We have a lot of fun doing this. We found that Monday works well because there is always something happening on the weekends,” she said.

The Feb. 3 event brought out residents to enjoy the free community lunch.
