FHS trio to M-ville
Freedom will be sending a trio of departing senior football players to Millersville, where they’ll try to replicate the success they achieved over the past four years at the collegiate level.
Jared Jenkins, Judah Rock and Eloge Kalubi all made the announcement official last week to join the Division II Marauder program in an effort to help turn around the struggling PSAC team.
Jenkins leaves Freedom’s program as the career leader in nearly every statistical passing category, leading the team to three district finals appearances during his tenure, including a district championship in 2018. Jenkins, along with his teammates, will look to rejuvenate a Millersville program that hasn’t had a winning season in nearly 20 years.
Kalubi, a defensive end, and Rock, a linebacker, rounded out the list of Patriots for this signing day. Freedom’s Kaden Moore already committed to Virginia Tech earlier in the signing period to play on the offensive line.
Bethlehem Catholic’s signed players to date include: George French (Penn State, OL) (preferred walk-on); Logan Bender (ESU, TE/DE); Brandon Lysick (Marist, LB); Tavion Banks (Maine, RB/S) and Matt Stianche (Marist, WR).
Liberty’s trio includes Kendrick Wesley (Slippery Rock, FB/LB); Tahjir McKenzie (Millersville, WR/DB) and Zaire Mitchell (ESU, DL).

In other news, former Liberty star defensive end Trevor Harris is coming back home to Bethlehem. Harris, who committed to the Naval Academy in December of 2018, spent a year at Navy’s Prep school and decided to switch course and head to Lehigh. Harris was the EPC South defensive MVP his senior year and was an all-state selection. He was arguably the best player in the conference his senior season. Switching gears to Lehigh should be a major win for the Mountain Hawks.
Bethlehem Catholic’s Nick Lucien, who also spent a year at prep school will join Harris at Lehigh as well.
Former Golden Hawk Nate Palanica will also be heading to Merrimack.
