Any school-aged child may join March 3 to build with all kinds of fun materials. The children learn to be creative and share ideas with others.

Intro to Genealogy will be 9:30-11:30 a.m. March 21 and 6:30-8 p.m. March 26.

Let us help you figure out where your family came from. We’ll show you how to use our Ancestry and Heritage Quest databases and other resources to search for records and documents.

You may attend one or both sessions. If you cannot attend, handouts will be available at the desk.

With your new purple LCLC library card, you have access to many databases and resources.

Local barbershop quartet ffourtissimo will perform 7 p.m. April 16.

The group will help us kick off the 55th anniversary and will perform some of the great songs from the 1960s, ’70s and today.

Check the calendar, website and this newspaper column for announcements on more programs to be held for the library’s anniversary.

National Library Week is April 19-25. The library will be having some activities to celebrate.

Lehigh Valley Storytelling Guild will hold a program at the library 7-8 p.m. April 23.

As part of National Library Week, we’d like to take part in the oldest form of storytelling - the oral tradition. Come listen to two master storytellers share stories for all ages in this free program.

During this program, they’ll also commemorate the 50th anniversary of Earth Day by including stories that celebrate the world around us.

Ingrid Bohn is an interactive theater and storytelling performance artist who engages audiences through story, song, dance and poetry. Robin Reichert sparks delight for audiences of all ages telling captivating folk tales, personal heart stories and bewitching ghost tales.

Would you like an easy way to help the library?

The library will receive $1 for each bag purchased through the Giant Bags 4 My Cause program between now and March 31 at Giant Food Store.

Each bag has a tag on it that must be registered; you can drop off the tag at the library and we will do it for you. You can buy these bags at 202 Chestnut St., Coplay.

The library has many databases on a variety of subjects. You can find them on our website and use them for fun and education.

You can use all of them on our computers, and you can use all but two (ABC Mouse & Ancestry) at home as long as you have a valid purple LCLC library card number and PIN.

Stop by the front desk and we can show you and help you.
