Freedom and Liberty’s girls’ swim teams closed out the season with their annual rivalry meet last Thursday when the Hurricane girls defeated the Patriots, 103-81.
Liberty’s Talia Lehr, Abby Mack, Brooke Sergent, and Sarah Park won the 200 medley relay in 1:58.03.
Sammy Taylor took first place in the 200 free in 2:05.24, and Mack won the 200 IM in 2:16.07, both for the Hurricanes.
Freedom’s Sydney Straka placed first in the 50 free in 26.77.
In diving, Sarah Gill won the event for the Patriots with a score of 208.35, and Keller Pooley came in second for the Hurricanes with a score of 172.30.
Freedom’s Abby Burnette took first place in the 100 butterfly in 1:03.79 and in the 100 breaststroke in 1:12.63.
Park won the 100 free in 58.56, and Liberty’s Julia Pinter won the 500 free in 5:51.44.
Mack, Lehr, Park, and Taylor combined to win the 200 free relay in 1:44.46.
Taylor then won the 100 backstroke in 1:02.91.
The 400 free relay was won by Pinter, Monica Bruno, Drager, and Taylor in 4:08.09.
