Lindsey Garnel of Breinigsville, helped Bloomsburg University Forensics Speech and Debate Team capture the first-place team sweepstakes story at the Randolph-Macon College/CFA Invitational Tournament last November in Ashland, Va.

Garnel was third in after-dinner speaking, took fifth place in informative, and was sixth in prose.

Before Garnel winning at the invitational tournament, she captured first place in after-dinner speaking and was fifth in informative speaking last October at the Collegiate Forensic Association’s annual fall tournament at Bloomsburg University.

The Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania Forensics Speech and Debate Team took home the second-place team sweepstakes award at the fall tournament.
