David K. Ellison, 72, of Kempton, died Feb. 6, 2020, in his home.

He and his wife, Linda R. (Dunkelberger) Ellison, celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary in June 2019.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Kenneth C. and Helen M. (Smith) Ellison.

A 1965 graduate of Northwestern Lehigh High School, he was a Vietnam veteran, having served in the U.S. Army.

He was a welder at Gardner Cryogenics, a division of Air Products, Allentown, until retiring in 1991.

A longtime donor at Miller-Keystone Blood Bank, he donated more than 12 gallons of his blood, which was primarily used for transfusing infants. He was also a member of the Lynnport Fire Company.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by sons Peter D. (Michelle) Ellison of New Tripoli, and John M. (Krista) Ellison of Lafayette Hill; and a brother Dennis C. Ellison of Allentown.

As per his wishes, there will be no formal services.
