GIRL SCOUTS OF EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA

Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania (GSEP) hosted the January 2020 Girl Scouts Women’s Leadership Summit: Why You Matter at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Philadelphia - Valley Forge. Sponsored by TD Bank and Abbot Downing, the morning networking event connected like-minded women, Girl Scout members and non-members, who share a passion for empowering girls and having a greater impact in their communities.

Workshops and discussions led by Bethlehem residents Teri Haddad, CEO/Owner, eMedia Works, and Mindy Benedict, Senior Manager, Infection Prevention, Olympus, invited women to use the networking event to discover new ways to harness their power as a caring volunteer while tapping into their strengths and leadership skills. Breakout sessions focused on topics such as stress management, professional development, and being your authentic self. New this year, there was a separate high school track for girls in grades 9-12.

The 2020 Girl Scout Women’s Leadership Summit highlighted GSEP’s commitment to building girls of courage, confidence and character.
