Author shares her book about spiders with students

On Jan. 10, author Erin Rafanello-Ferguson came to Northwestern Elementary School to share her book, “Earl, The Christmas Tree Spider” with first and second graders.

While the book is definitely holiday-centered, it includes themes of love, acceptance, hope, and home.

The students enjoyed listening to her read her book, asked a variety of questions including, “Do you write your books using paper and pencil, or use the computer?”
