William N. West IV, 83, a resident of Luther Crest, South Whitehall, formerly of Trexlertown, died Feb. 1, 2020, in his home.
Born Jan. 11, 1937, in Lower Merion, Montgomery County, he was the son of the late William N. West III and Edith (Harris) West.
A graduate of Haverford College with a Bachelor’s degree in economics, he faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during a peacetime era earning the rank of specialist 4.
He was manager of hazardous material transportation at Air Products Inc., Trexlertown, for 26 years before retiring in 1993.
Since his formal retirement, he was a private consultant.
He was a member of St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, Trexlertown.
Her survivors include a daughter Kathryn C. Lange and her husband, Earl, of Macungie; sister Edith Daub and her husband, John, of Arizona; and grandsons Griffin and Hayden.
His memorial service will be announced by Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Schnecksville.
