A new Lehigh County 4-H Club, Northwestern Lehigh Community Clovers, is forming and members will choose what projects and areas of interest they want to explore during their first meeting at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 6.
Club meetings will be at Jacob’s Church Activity Center, 8373 Kings Highway, New Tripoli, the first Thursday of the month, except July and August.
The fun and learning go beyond the meetings, with opportunities to attend sleep away camp, day camps, enter at the fair, and more.
They will go over what 4-H is, how to join, and have activities for the kids.
4-H is for youth ages 8-18 years but if there is enough interest a Cloverbud program may be added for children ages 5-7.
4-H empowers youth to reach their full potential working and learning in partnership with caring adults.
Kids complete hands-on projects in areas such as health, science, agriculture and citizenship, in a positive environment where they receive guidance from adult mentors and are encouraged to take on proactive leadership roles.
Kids experience 4-H through in-school and after-school programs, school and community clubs, local clubs, and 4-H camps.
