By beating Salem UCC 6-5, 4-1, losing the opener 2-1, Dryland moved back into sole possession of 1st. Leading the way for Dryland: Larry Golick 5-12, Jim Goldman 4-10, Lou Dervarics 4-11, while Ed Taylor was 4-12, Larry Fehnal 3-7, with HRs from Sherry Bush, Fred Toncik for Salem UCC.

St. Stephen’s dropped Star of Bethlehem into 2nd by sweeping them: 5-3, 4-1, 3-0. For St. Stephen’s: Alan Beahm 8-14 (HR), Jim Blaukovitch 5-12, Nathan Naprava 2 HRs. Bryan Frankenfield 4-12, Bill Hoke had a HR for Star of Bethlehem.

With Jordan Meixsell going 9-13, Bob Meixsell 6-14, Scott Henninger 5-13, Kevin Beichy with a HR, Bath Lutheran won 4-2, 8-7 in 10 innings over Farmersville, losing the opener 8-0. For Farmersville: Jason Steigerwalt 6-14, Kyle Gerber 5-12, Ben Kerbaugh 5-14 (HR).

It was Christ UCC sandwiching 3-2, 10-7 wins around an 8-5 loss to Ebenezer. Top hitters for Christ UCC included Susie Gasper 6-8 (2 HRs), Garry Hunsicker 5-12, Ron Wagner 5-14 (3 run HR), Eric Yocum with a 2 run HR. Vic Pacchioni, Jim Voortman (HR), Charlie Constanzo all went 5-12 each with Carl Fraley, Carol Voortman, Frank Trovato each hitting a 2 run HR, Bob McDonald with a HR.

The final match of the night finds Emmanuel taking a pair of games from St. Paul’s 3-2, 3-0, losing 4-3. Leading hitting for Emmanuel: Chuck Achenzie 5-12, Jim Hill 5-12, Jeff Hoffert 4-12. Bret Remel was 5-12 with Jason Gross, Tom Unger each going 4-12 for St. Paul’s.
