Bethlehem Catholic graduate and Misericordia University junior guard Tessa Zamolyi was named the U.S. Basketball Writers Association Division III National Player of the week this past November.

In a 93-41 victory over the University of Valley Forge, Zamolyi scored 31 points and tied the Misericordia school record with 14 made field goals.

In early January, Zamolyi was named the MAC Freedom Player of the Week, averaging 18.3 points and nine rebounds in three games.

Zamolyi scored 30 points and had six rebounds in Misericordia’s victory over Salisbury and 12 points and 12 rebounds in Misericordia’s win over Lebanon Valley. She also had 13 points and nine rebounds against the University of Scranton.
