Whitehall-Coplay School Board members approved several new appointments during the Jan. 13 school board meeting.

The appointments include Gayle Ganser, salaried first-grade substitute at Gockley Elementary School, at the rate of $52,666; Megan Desthers, long-term librarian/STEM substitute at Gockley Elementary, at the rate of $150; Eric Bell, Whitehall-Coplay Middle School utility maintenance, at $26.48 per hour; Cheryl Rufe, Steckel Elementary School cafeteria worker, at $13.50 per hour; Joann Schleder, Steckel Elementary cafeteria worker, at $13.25 per hour; and Rasha Hadeed, bus driver.

Approved coaches include Robert Panny, head boys tennis coach, at $3,136; Michael Lelko, head cross-country coach, at $3,136; Jennifer Bodnar, head field hockey coach, at $4,500; Matthew Senneca, head football coach, at $9,138; John Conrad, head golf coach, at $3,136; Christopher Bastidas, head boys soccer coach, at $4,500; Christopher Bleam, head girls soccer coach, at $4,500; and Victoria Bobyak, head girls volleyball coach, at $4,500.

Approved teacher induction participants include Jacqlyn Mondschein, mentor to Gayle Ganser, at the rate of $325.

Committee meetings on operations/transportation, finance/personnel and education/student activities will be held 4 p.m. Jan. 27 and Feb. 24. A special operations/transportation meeting will be held 4:15 p.m. Feb. 6.

The next school board meeting will be 7 p.m. Feb. 10.
