Philip R. Meck, 78, of Mertztown, died Jan. 16, 2020, in Kutztown Manor.

He and his wife, Nancy L. (Miller) Meck, were married 56 years.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Raymond and Mabel (Yoder) Meck.

Before retiring, he was an electrician at Gene Zimmerman Electric and Deka Battery.

He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Mertztown.

For more than 56 years, he was with the The Majestics Band playing various instruments.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters Donna M., wife of Darryl F. Ferris, Dawn M., wife of Lester Sonon; sister April, wife of Curtis Underwood; grandchildren Alexis, Lyndsey and Joshua; and great-grandchildren Kori, Ryan, Kaylee and Tucker.

He was predeceased by a daughter Kimberly Sue and sister June Schlegel.

At his request, there will be no services.

A gathering for friends and family will be at a later date.
