North Catasauqua WE SING Community Chorus ventured out onto the streets of North Catasauqua Dec. 24, 2019, to view holiday decorations of the residents of small Town USA.

The DECK Your HALLS Holiday Home Decorating Awards acknowledge and award the residents in North Catasauqua who have decorated their home with great Christmas spirit that celebrates the holiday in small Town USA.

Members of the chorus enjoyed viewing all of the homes in North Catasauqua that were decorated for Christmas and helped to make small Town USA sparkle and shine.

Prizes were given out to residents for first-place small residence, first-place large residence, second place, third place and judge’s honorable mention.

The 2019 Deck Your Halls Holiday Home Decorating Awards were given to the following residents:

• First-place large residence - Stubits family: 1447 Washington St. The judges liked the big, spread-out display with various Christmas animals and other decorations.

• First-place small residence - Newhart family: 1335 Third St. The judges liked the colorful display that extended into the backyard.

• Second place - Williams family: 1120 Fifth St. The judges liked how the home is decorated with lights on the house and the lawn area.

• Third place - Kulp family: 1081 Sixth St. The judges liked the use of Christmas lights and other Christmas decorations.

• Judges’ honorable mention - Yanek family: 525 Wyandotte St. The judges liked the huge, colorful Christmas tree in the front window that looks like it had hundreds of lights on it.
