Florence (McKelvey) Loux, 79, formerly of Emmaus, died Jan. 15, 2020. She was the wife of John Loux. They were married for 57 years. Born in Doylestown, she was a daughter of the late Clifton and Florence (Davidyan) McKelvey.
She attended Bethel Bible Fellowship Church, Emmaus.
She was a 1958 graduate of Central Bucks in Doylestown.
She had been employed by Artistic Glass Co., Trumbauersville. She later became activities director for elders at LifeQuest Center, Quakertown.
She had a passion for aiding special needs adults to function within the community. Her desire to help the handicapped further extended as a caregiver at Indian Creek working with adults who required community-based services.
She enjoyed cooking, loved animals and was a self-taught artist.
She is survived by her husband; daughters, Brenda McCloskey (William), of Meadville and Kathryn Erdman, of Emmaus; five grandchildren; brothers, James McKelvey (Jane), Clifton McKelvey (Dolores); sister, Pamela Gerhart (Galen); nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 10:30 to 11 a.m. Jan. 24 at Bethel Bible Fellowship Church, 418 Elm St., Emmaus, where services will be held 11 a.m. Arrangements were made by the Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Meadville.
