Evelyn R. (Acker) Bailey, 86, of New Tripoli, died Jan. 15, 2020, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital Inpatient Unit, Allentown.

She was the wife of the late Nevin J. Bailey, who died in 2001.

Employed by Lynn Township at the transfer station from 1982-96, she also worked for the former Bavarian Festival, Barnesville, from 1968-85.

She was a member of Jacob’s Church, Jacksonville, LynnTownship.

She was a lifetime member of Kempton Fire Company, and a member of the Lynnport Fire Company, Kempton Rod and Gun Club, and the former Kempton Lioness Club.

She enjoyed listening to country bands at Alburtis Park and she loved camping with her brother, Allen.

Her survivors include her daughter Donna M. (David) Berger Sr., at home; sons Nevin W. Acker of Kutztown, and Robert L. (Sandra) Acker of New Tripoli; brother Allen A. (Carol) Acker of Walnutport; sister Betty Jane Noll of Fleetwood; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by siblings Charles, Harold, Melvin and Phillip Acker and Stella Homan; grandchildren Shannon Berger and Gary Brobst Jr.; great-granddaughter Jasmine Eroh; and daughter-in-law Betty G. Acker.
