Freedom’s swim team opened its meet against Nazareth with a strong performance in the girls’ 200 medley relay but lost against the Blue Eagles, 106-79 for the girls, and 86-55 for the boys last Thursday at Nazareth.
Nicole Spaziani, Aliah Corrado, Abby Burnette, and Sydney Straka won the relay in 2:06.69.
Andrew Ehret, Danny Connell, Luke McClure, and Eric Mann placed second in the same relay, out touched with a time of 1:50.46 to Nazareth’s 1:49.02.
Connell won the 200 free in 1:59.06, and Burnette won the 200 IM in 2:29.11.
McClure placed second in the 100 free in 53.09.
Mann, McClure, Connell, and Ehret were out touched again and placed second in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:39.32 to Nazareth’s 1:39.20.
Ehret took first place in the 100 backstroke with a time of 59.02.
Burnette won the breaststroke in 1:12.90, and Connell won the same event for the boys in 1:09.64.
Sarah Gill took first place in diving with a score of 226.30, and Fallon Tatlow placed second with a 200.50.
The Patriots will compete at home at 4 p.m. this Thursday.
