Bath: Museums are open Jan. 18

Governor Wolf Historical Society Museum, 6600 Jacksonville Road, will be open to the public 1-3 p.m. Jan. 18, with tours of the society’s campus offered.

The Bath Museum, 121 S. Walnut St., is open for tours 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Jan. 18.

Volunteers are always welcome.

Chapman Quarries United Methodist Church, 1433 Main St., Chapman Borough, will be having its annual soup tasting, soup sale and bake sale 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Jan. 25.

There will be 13 different soups, priced per pint, for purchase.

There is a small admission fee.

Snow date for the event is Feb. 1.

Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church, 375 Valley View Drive, announces there will be one service 10 a.m. Jan. 26 in the sanctuary, followed by a Crockpot challenge lunch in the fellowship hall.

After enjoying a meal together, there will be an open meeting to discuss the results of the two surveys completed by the congregation last fall, as well as the next steps in the journey to call a new pastor.

There will be no Sunday school.

For the month of January, Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church will be collecting personal care items - soap, shampoo, deodorant, etc. - for Bath Area Food Bank.
