William Walter Sanderson Jr., mechanic; BASD custodian
William Walter Sanderson Jr., 91, of Bethlehem, died Jan. 11, 2020. Born in Easton, he was the son of the late William Sr. and Clara Sanderson. He was the husband of Louise (Dennis) Sanderson.
He was in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
He was a mechanic for area car dealerships including the former Key Pontiac. He later was, for many years, a custodian in the Bethlehem Area School District at Liberty High School.
He was a member of Calvary Temple, Allentown, where he was a deacon.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, William III (Brenda), Prentice, Robert and Bruce Sanderson, all of Bethlehem; five stepchildren, Kathryn Adamu (Muhammed) of Nigeria; Edward Holmes Jr. (Brenda) of Bethlehem; Stephanie Holmes of South Carolina; Dennis Holmes (Regina) of Virginia and Anthony Holmes of Bethlehem; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Evelyn (Smith) Sanderson; a daughter, Rosalind Shelly; and three brothers, Robert Payne, James Larks and Harry Larks.
