Ruth E. (Fisher) Poppe, of Whitehall, died Dec. 26, 2019, at Fellowship Manor, Whitehall. Born in Carlisle, she was a daughter of Raymond William Fisher Sr. and the late Barbara Ann Elizabeth Laughman; and was raised by her aunt and uncle Mary Mae and James Allen De Lancey, all of Carlisle. She was the wife of Donald C. Poppe of Carlisle for 57 years.

She was a 1954 Carlisle High School graduate where she was a member of the National Honor Society. She graduated from Shippensburg College

She was a secretary for several years and a business education teacher at Parkland High School.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Deborah Klink and her husband Dr. David Klink of Virginia; a son, Christopher Poppe and his wife Judith Pineiro of Brooklyn; four grandchildren, Adam Klink, Elyse Miller, Miranda Bonaguide and Sarah Poppe; and four great-grandchildren, Henry, Ayla, Noah and Everett.

She was predeceased by two brothers; and a step brother.
