HCPA honors helpers

Historic Catasauqua Preservation Association held its annual appreciation dinner for its volunteers and fundraising associates Jan. 25 at the Biery House, 8 Race St.

This year’s dinner added some unique flavors to the already extensive list of favorites. Shelly Nolter prepared a great rendition of a Scottish egg. For those who have never had the pleasure, it’s a hard-boiled egg wrapped in a special sausage blend, wrapped in a lightly breaded crust and deep-fried.

It was reported new owners moved into at least one of the historical homes along Bridge Street.

The group briefly talked about future plans for 2020 and anticipates no new activities.
