National Signing Day occurred last week and Freedom honored three senior student-athletes that are moving on to the next level.
Kaden Moore, Katie Flynn and Jennifer Kokolus all signed the proverbial dotted line during a press conference to commemorate the closing of one chapter and the beginning of another.
Moore highlighted the event with committing to Virginia Tech to play football.
The two-way lineman for the Patriots projects to be apart of the Hokies interior offensive line. Virginia Tech plays in the Belk Bowl against Kentucky on December 31 at noon.
Moore wasn’t the only Pate to sign with a Division-I program, as Flynn will be headed to Temple to play lacrosse.
Flynn scored 53 goals as a freshman and topped the 100 goal mark her sophomore year. She will be one of the top players heading into the spring in the area when the lacrosse season kicks back in.
Kokolus is headed to Division-II, Holy Family University to play basketball.
The 5-foot-10 power forward has helped Freedom jump out to a 4-1 start to the season and is averaging nearly 17 points a game.

Bethlehem Catholic’s Tavion Banks also committed to Maine, a late switch from originally deciding on Stony Brook.
Banks ran for 1, 600 yards last season and scored 30 TD’s. He’ll be joined by Nazareth quarterback Anthony Harris as a Lehigh Valley backfield.
Becahi’s Brandon Lysick (FB/LB) also committed to Marist.
