Liberty’s boys’ swim team defeated Pottsville, 97-67, to close out 2019 on Dec. 23 at Liberty.
In relays, Patrick Gilhool, Sean McGuire, Daniel Lader, and Corbin Eisenhardt won the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:46.62. Caleb Stein, McGuire, Ben Service, and Addison Collins took first place in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:36.46, and Collins, Gilhool, Lader, and Stein came in first in the 400 free relay in 3:33.64.
In individual events, top finishers for the Hurricanes were Gilhool in the 200 IM with a time of 2:09.65, followed by Eisenhardt, and Andrew Layne.
Lader won the 50 free in 24.79 and the 100 butterfly in 59.05.
Jeffrey Eisenhardt came in first in the 500 free in 5:42.73.
Gilhool, Service, and Tommy Fortsch scored a one-two-three finish in the 100 backstroke with Gilhool recording a time of 56.32.
McGuire had the fastest time in the 100 breaststroke with a 1:06.63.
The Hurricanes will host the Stroudsburg Mountaineers on Jan. 2 to kick off the new year.
